When social, emotional, and financial challenges arise, it is easy to think healing and recovery from trauma are impossible. Our goal is to help you navigate life's challenges and equip you to become the healthiest version of yourself you can be. We are committed to providing solutions that help you and your family thrive by providing compassionate care and efficient resources.

MENTORSHIP

Growing As Parents is a free, home-mentoring parent education program that provides guidance on building positive parent-child relationships and promotes optimal early development, learning, and healthy children. Beginning with developmental screenings for children and a thorough intake interview, staff provide weekly parenting education sessions in the home along with support and connection to resources. Growing As Parents program focuses on helping parents address child development and promoting healthy child-parent interactions. Services are provided at no cost in both English and Spanish.

The program utilizes the Parents As Teachers evidence-based curriculum with a Blue Ribbon Affiliate Endorsement for delivering high-quality services to children and families.

What to Expect

​

  • Personal Visits: A parent educator will visit you in the convenience of your home.

  • Child Screening: You will learn about your child’s growth and development. Children receive regular developmental screening and a health review.

  • Group Connections: Monthly group connections are provided to parents and children.

  • Resource Network: Program provides direct referral or connections to other needed community resources.

  • You will be part of a special community of parents promoting a safe and healthy development for their children!

ELIGIBILITY AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 

IFRC provides intake and assessment, case management, clinical services, education, and training to increase participants’ self-sufficiency and future success. The programs, staff, and volunteers provide comprehensive, support services and guide families in developing future social, networking, financial literacy and individual skills to succeed.

IFRC utilizes the intake process to gather demographic information and personal assessments to assess each individual needs and determine an individualized service plan for each participant.

There are a variety of services and programs available to participants to assist them in preparing for a healthy birth process and future success.

 

 The participants are reassessed as needed to determine additional needs and services throughout their journey with IDTC Family Resource Center.
