Small children and infants usually need CPR due to cardiac arrest caused by breathing problems. Here are a few reasons why infant-specific CPR is so important —

  • The most common cause of cardiac arrest in infants is a respiratory failure or a blockage in the airway.

  • 21,000 infants died in 2018, with the fourth and fifth leading causes of SIDS and suffocation.

  • Over 7,000 infants and children suffer from cardiac arrest every single year.

Breathing problems are not the only cause of cardiac arrest, and CPR could be needed for many other things, including poisoning, smoke inhalation, electrical shock, near-drowning, and head trauma. CPR with infant training skills is essential. Through our course, you will gain the confidence to use your BLS, CPR, and AED skills to save lives.

What to Expect in Your CPR course with infant training Classes
